Our Discipleship
Though God saves us individually, he grows us through community. Discipleship is essential to how we live together as a church. Through consistency, accountability, prayer, and study of God’s word, we grow in our LOVE and LIKENESS in Christ. Here are a few ways we encourage you to do that:
1-TO-1 discipleship
At NCBC, we desire that our church be marked by a culture of discipling where it’s normal for members to help one another follow Jesus. This can take on many forms, but one which we strongly encourage is through 1-to-1 discipling relationships. In 1-to-1 discipling, members open up their lives to one another as they meet regularly to study the Bible, pray for each other, and encourage one another toward Christian maturity. Be encouraged to initiate a lunch or coffee to explore a discipling relationship. Many of the excellent resources we recommend can be found in our Online Bookstore.
Community Groups
Community Groups are one opportunity our members have to consistently fellowship, pray, and learn from God’s Word together in smaller settings. NCBC Community Groups are a fun and edifying way for committed believers from diverse backgrounds and ages to know, treasure, and obey Christ together across the greater Washington, D.C. metro area.
